Kate Middletonhas a new favorite handbag style — and the designer of the purse couldn’t be happier.
“Kate always looks so feminine, elegant and chic,” Mariya Dykalo, creative director atAspinal of Londontells PEOPLE, adding “She’s worn our bag in two different colors now — I really liked the lilac version with the matching lilac outfit, it was so beautiful and feminine.”

“I think now she has chosen her favorite style,”notes Dykalo, adding: “She used to wear a lot of clutches but this has a handle bar which is practical but still really enchanting.”
Visiting the Henry Fawcett Children’s Centre in Kennington last Tuesday,Kate matched the lilac version of the bag with a purple Gucci blouse featuring decorative pussy-bow detailingand black wide leg trousers from U.K label Jigsaw. “I love that she wears colors, she’s quite brave in that respect,” says Dykalo.

Kate’s sisterPippa Middletonhas long been a fan of the luxury label, which was originally established in 2001, but it was actuallyPrince William’s uncle who introduced Kate to the quintessentially British brand.
“The first time she wore one of our bags it was before she was engaged and it was a Christmas present fromPrince Andrew,” reveals the Ukraine-born designer. The royal gift was the brands Eaton clutch (now discontinued), which Kate wore multiple times.
While the lilac version of Kate’s current go-to bag has sold out, the black remains in stock, as do several other colors. “I think she is a great role model for all women and the effect is incredible — everybody wants the bag that Kate wears!” says the designer.
