Offsetoffered a very public olive branch toCardi Bover the weekend — and she was less than thrilled.
At Los Angeles’Rolling Loud festivalat the Banc of California Stadium, which Cardi headlined on Saturday, afan captured a video of Offset crashing Cardi’s set to beg her to reignite their romance.

Cardi, 26, seemed irritated as she responded to Offset at length — off of the microphone. At one point during the testy exchange, the lights went dim onstage. After Cardi seemingly made her point, Offset walked off the stage, and stagehands wheeled off his tribute to her.
Tariq Cherif, one of the co-founders of Rolling Loud, told PEOPLE in a statement, “Headliners and their teams have full control of the stage and who is allowed on it during their set at Rolling Loud. The festival does not interfere with or influence a headliner’s set list. We have never and will never do anything to change a headliner’s set. We were tipped off that something was going to happen, but had nothing to do with the organization or execution of it.”
Added Cherif, “Rolling Loud is proud to provide the platform for a queen likeCardi Bto absolutely slay her performance. Despite the stunt, she performed hit after hit and electrified the crowd with her talent, energy, choreography, and set design.Cardi Bproved herself as a top tier headliner last night, and that should be the story. We look forward to continued business with her in the future.”

In another videofrom Rolling Loud’s Friday lineup,21 Savagetold his fans, “On the count of three, we’re gonna scream, ‘Cardi take Offset back.’ ” He led the crowd in the chant three times.
“It became public, and I just want things to die down, I just need time so we can see eye to eye. I can’t predict the future, I don’t know,” she said.
He also laterspoke about his move on social media, tweeting on Sunday, “All of my wrongs have been made public, I figure it’s only right that my apologies are made public too.”
He added, “Thank god I ain’t got no balloons sheeesh.”

Earlier this month, Cardi — who shares 5-month-old daughterKulture Kiariwith Offset —announcedon Instagram that “things just haven’t been working out between us for a long time” and that “we are not together anymore.”
The Rolling Loud episode is the latest of the attempts that Offset has made to get back together with his estranged wife. On Dec. 9, he tweeted, “F— YALL I MISS CARDI.”

As he turned 27 on Friday, Offsetmade another plea for Cardi. “I only got one birthday wish and that’s to get my wife back Cardi,” he said on Instagram.
“We’re going through a lot of things right now, a lot of things in the media. I want to apologize to you Cardi. I embarrassed you. I made you go crazy,” he added. “I was partaking in activity that I shouldn’t have been partaking in, and I apologize. You know what I’m saying? For breaking your heart, for breaking our promise, for breaking God’s promise and being a selfish, messed up husband.”
“They have obviously had huge problems for a long time,” a sourcetold PEOPLE.
“They’re still very close and really do care for one another,” the source continued. “Their priority now is their daughter, and they plan to be solid co-parents.”
Even though the split has been so public, Cardiwants to make clearthat she is not seeking the attention.
“I just really hate how people say we trying to do this for publicity,” she said on Instagram Live on Dec. 9. “Think we want to put our life out there for what — what we gain from publicity? Nothing.”
