Abbott Elementarystar Lisa Ann Walter is keen to collaborate withLindsay Lohanagain!
Walter, who costarred with Lohan in the 1998 version ofThe Parent Trap, told PEOPLE at theNAACP Image Awardsin Los Angeles on Saturday that there are two fun ways she and Lohan, 37, could work together.
“Yes, absolutely,” Walter, 60, says when asked if she would revive herParent Trapcharacter, Chessy. “I would love to go back for another version of it — or if [Lohan] wants to come on to our show, I’d love that, too.”
Walter plays Philadelphia second-grade teacher Melissa Schemmenti on the popular ABC sitcomAbbott Elementary, which won outstanding comedy series at the NAACP Image Awards.
The actress andmom of fourpreviously said she’d “love’ if Lohan played her redheaded relative on the show. “I guess we’d have to make her a relative since we’re both redheads — since I’m a ‘redhead,’ and she actually is,” Walter toldEntertainment Tonightin January.
InThe Parent Trap, Lohan famously played Hallie Parker and Annie James, 11-year-old twins who randomly meet at a summer camp after being separated at birth, while Walter played Hallie’s nanny.

If Lohan guest starred onAbbott Elementary, she would join an acclaimed cast on the show, which has won four Emmys, including an outstanding casting statuette, since its 2021 series premiere.
At Saturday’s ceremony alone,Abbott Elementarycreator and costarQuinta Brunson, who plays fellow teacher Janine Teagues, won outstanding actress, while William Stanford Davis, who plays custodian Mr. Johnson, won outstanding supporting actor.
“I am so happy that people are recognizing the talent that [Davis] is,” Walter tells PEOPLE. “He’s my neighbor, he’s my friend. We watch football together on the weekends.”
Walter described the entire cast as “top-tier talent” and divulged how the show has changed her career.
“It’s amazing that the audiences love us first and foremost, that teachers love us and the audiences love us is great,” she says. “And then the critics and everybody in the business is so thrilled with our performance and with what Quinta has put together.”
“I have job security for the first time in maybe my entire career for the next little bit anyway,” she adds. “And I get to go to work every day … with top-tier talent people. There’s not, I always say, there’s not a bum in the lot.”

On Saturday, Walter gave some insight into what a day is like on set.
“You go right to hair and makeup and usually we’re sharing whatever happened either over the weekend or the night before,” Walter says. “Sometimes there are people that are very quiet — Tyler [James Williams] — but we know he needs to have his coffee, so, kind of leave him alone.”
“Sometimes Sheryl [Lee Ralph] walks in,” she adds, before impersonating Ralph’s singing, “and it’s, ‘Had the best time last night!’ Like you get a whole opera about whatever she did and like we just start laughing and cutting up having a good time and it continues on set.”
Abbott Elementary’s 14-episode third season premiered on Feb. 7.
