Justin Timberlake’s upcoming album might be his most personal one yet.
Timberlake, 42, spoke withZane Loweon Apple Music 1 about how his new music will give fans a"real" perspective on his lifeahead of hisperformance onSaturday Night Livethis weekend.
“I was able, on some of the songs, to look back at the past and have a real, not a refracted perspective of what it was because they always say … you always hear that thing about, well, there’s never any truth, there’s just everybody’s perspective of what happened. But to really look at it and be able to metabolize and verbalize my perspective on it, I don’t think I’ve ever really done that before,” explained Timberlake.

Fans can expect the album titledEverything I Thought It Was,out March 15, to have songs that are “introspective and “incredibly honest.”
His new album will soon be able to be heard live as Timberlake announced onThe Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, that he will begoing on tour starting in April.

Timberlake is a father tosons Phineas, 3½, and Silas, 8½, with wifeJessica Biel. An insider told PEOPLE in November that Timberlake is in “such a great place.”

The movie featured the song"Better Place”— the band’s first song together in more than 20 years. While speaking to PEOPLE in December, Fatone told PEOPLE thatthe possibility of a reunion tourfor the band hasn’t been ruled out.
“You know what? Never say never. I think we have to honestly have a sit-down and have a conversation,” he told PEOPLE.
