How Do You Reach the Moon with Your SLR? Strap on Five Huge Lens Extenders (Updated)

So you want to click some elaborated shots of the moon ’s surface , but you ’re over 200,000 Admiralty mile away and miss any sort of scope . No job ! At least if you have abevy of focal distance extenders . jury-rigged uranology !

The crew atBorrowLensesstacked five Canon 2x focal duration extenders under their 800 millimetre lens system , providing an image that was actually too close :

But when they consume off a pair , the result was arresting .

Perhaps not the most practical path to get a gander at the moonshine , but it takes gut to expend your gear mechanism in ways it is n’t mean to be used — especially when the entire apparatus was “ bending and flex . ” Nothing that expensive should ever be bending or bend . [ PetaPixel ]

Update : Reader Matt M. was kind enough to write in say he was along with the crafty dudes who rigged this crack mecha lense ( which used a Canon 1D Mark IV ) , and has a video to show it . The tyke shooting the film sound like giggly middle schoolers , but the footage is pretty terrific . Maybe just try out putting it on deaf-mute .
