This particular version of the property , from Return of the Jedi , was made by the art manager on the film , James L. Schoppe . Like every version of the airscrew , it was built out of a literal Mauser C96 Broomhandle shooting iron , add on to with chance parts and stamp resin to release it into Han ’s iconic weapon .
