Hitachi rolled out its PJ - TX300 Cine Master projector , an 720p LCD box point at the home theater market . roll out in Germany at IFA 2006 , it ’s packing some serious specs , with a 10,000:1 direct contrast proportion , an HDMI socket , 10 - bit picture processing and three liquid crystal display shine at a luminosity of 1200 ANSI lumens .
With its rounded looks and shining black finish , we had to do a double take at this smoothly - designed projector , thinking at first it was from InFocus . Hitachi did n’t herald pricing but word on the street has it costing around 1900 ( about $ 2443 ) . Not bad for a 720p three - LCD product . No Good Book on US handiness yet .
