Neil Gaiman has been show off a couple more pieces of art from his upcoming Batman story , “ Whatever find To The Caped Crusader , ” give another steer as to what Batman we can have a bun in the oven to run into .
The prototype , from Gaiman ’s two - part Bat - story celebrating the history of the eccentric in the wake of the late Batman RIP storyline , show a more Hellenic side to the caped crusader – arresting Catwoman ( in her fifties costume , interestingly enough ) amid moonlit gazes into each others ’ eye , and mouth a panic Riddler down instead of just punching him . Apparently , Gaiman asked creative person Andy Kubert to reference various democratic creative person from Batman ’s chronicle in this tale , and so these images may be a shout - out to the more mellow Batman of the ’ 50s through ’ seventy than a coup d’oeil of Dark Knights to come .
Batman # 686 , the first part of the plot line , is due in stores February 11th .
