For most of the movie , Dredd ’s 3D is n’t particularly detectable , but it takes the star use during the Slo - Mo sequence . Slo - Mo , as the name suggests , causes the user to perceive time as slip by extremely slowly . When a character is experiencing the essence of Slo - Mo , we see much of the action from their perspective , permit the 3D take on a painterly outcome . droplet of urine or bits of shattered glass play around mundane or violent moments , while the subjects soft - focused in the middle ground catch on in astonishment .
