On November 11 , anew character will become Black Pantherin the Marvel Cinematic Universe . But is it Shuri ? Is it Nakia ? Okoye ? We do n’t acknowledge for sure , but apparently everyone in Wakandahas their own opinion about it .
Black Panther : Wakanda Foreveropens next monthand the story centers on the fictional Marvel countrygrieving the exit of its big businessman , T’Challa , spiel by the previous Chadwick Boseman . T’Challa ’s passing means a new Black Panther must be choose and harmonize to the photographic film ’s manufacturer , that interrogation is not one that ’s answered easily in the film .
“ The Black Panther has existed in Wakanda for centuries , so the opinion of someone else picking up the mantlepiece did n’t seem inorganic , ” Nate Moore , Marvel Studios executive and producer on Black Panther : Wakanda perpetually toldthe Hollywood Reporter . “ But once that had to become a realness , then it was , ‘ OK , what make the most sensation for the chronicle ? Who really make the most common sense to take this thing on ? ’ All of the character in the film have a different approximation of who should don the pallium and why . ”

Of naturally , that was n’t always the story of the picture show . Before Boseman recede his battle with Aspinwall Cancer the Crab , he was going to be front and center in the moving-picture show . “ The playscript we wrote before Chadwick passed was very much rooted in T’Challa ’s perspective , ” cobalt - writer and director Ryan Coogler said . “ It was a monolithic movie but also at the same time a part survey that delved deeply into his soul and situation . ”
