There are now three things in life that are certain: death, taxes, and the loyalty ofAriana Grande‘s fans.
After dropping her highly anticipated fifth album,Thank U, Nextlast week, many of Grande’s new songs wentstraight to the top of music charts.
Arianators, as her fanbase is known, created the hashtag #BOYCOTT7RINGS on Twitter and have been passionately spreading the word in hopes that their boycott will get her other track “break up with your girlfriend, i’m bored” to reach the top spot.
After the trend caught Grande’s attention, the 25-year-old pop star shared her thoughts on the “funny” situation.
“y’all are so insane and funny and i love u. nothings funnier than ‘boycott seven rings’….. i can’t lmao.” shetweeted, before reassuring them, “whatever’s meant to be will be, babies i ain’t goin nowhere #thankunext”
Though Grande was in disbelief at the situation, she let her fans know that she was supportive of their decisions, no matter how “insane” and surreal it may have appeared.
“this is a wild time for us lmao do ur thing but also like how is this our problem rn …… what the f—,” shewrote in a tweet.
One fan even asked if Grande would jump on board with the trend and tweet the hashtag herself — but the “No Tears Left to Cry” singer wasn’t so easily convinced.
“r u ok” she joked in response.
Others, meanwhile, reaffirmed the obvious to Grande — telling her that they were a “dedicated fandom” — to which the singer lovingly agreed.

Grande’sThank U, Nextdebut became Apple Music’s biggest day 1 global pop album and biggest day 1 global for a female artist, with the album sitting at #1 in 84 different countries, according toApple Music.
Within a few days, all 12 tracks on Grande’s album were notably listed within the first 13 spots of Apple Music’s Top 100: Global playlist, USA playlist, and Top Songs playlist. The new songs also sat within the first 15 spots of Spotify’s global and U.S. Top 200 Viral 50 playlists.
“7 Rings” is the third single off the album, which was released in the tumultuous aftermath of her break-up with fiancéPete Davidsonand the death of ex-boyfriendMac Miller.

The singer is currently in the midst of preparing for herSweetenerworld tour, which Grande is expected to perform songs from both albums at.
The four-month string of concert dates will kick off on March 18 at the Times Union Center in Albany, New York before traveling to major cities across the country including Washington, DC, Philadelphia, Montreal, Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, St. Louis, Denver, Vancouver, Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Nashville, Miami and Atlanta.
Grande will then take the tour overseas, where she is set for international performances in the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Ireland, and Switzerland, among other stops.
