Antoni Porowskiis constantly turning to music to find his next dream travel destination.
“Everyone’s been flooding Taormina because ofWhite Lotus;my version of that is music videos,” theQueer Eyecast member told PEOPLE at anExpedia Group’s Unpack ’24: The Trends in Travel Dinner. “My life is music videos. I was inspired when Gwen Stefani filmed her music video for ‘Cool’ in Lake Como, Italy.”
The foodie said that “tour tourism” is becoming increasingly popular with the world’s biggest superstars promoting travel to different states and countries.
“You end up tailoring vacations based on these events and having experiences,” he continues. “Tour tourism is a thing and it’s thanks toBeyoncéandTaylor Swift.”

According to Expedia’s trend report they predict a “tour tourism” encore in 2024, with almost 70% of travelers polled claiming they are more likely than ever to travel to a concert outside their hometown. Furthermore, 40% say they’d travel for a concert as an excuse to visit a new place, while 30% would travel because tickets were cheaper elsewhere.
Porowski shared that he once flew to Kanas City to see The Nationals play in concert. He made a trip of that experience and fell in love with Kanas City.
“I don’t like to bring up the pandemic, but I’m bringing it up,” he adds. “We’re all in a place right now where it’s a lot safer to travel. So whether you’re going solo or with family or your group of friends or whatever, there’s something for everybody.”

Aside from traveling to specific destinations to hunt down locations of his favorite music videos Porowski has also become interested in the rising interest for sober trips — another rising trend, according to Expedia. The first sober experience he had on a trip was in Peru, he says.
“I’d definitely go on another one,” he says. “People just want to live longer and more meaningful lives. Not drinking is a big part of that for a lot of people. And so I think that’s a really fascinating one that I love that people are getting curious about.”
He adds: “I’ve seen it in Asia, in South America, and they were serving it somewhere in Europe and all kinds of different mocktail stuff.”
And while he loves to travel, he’s still unsure of destinations for his honeymoon after his upcoming wedding.
“There’s so much travel that’s going on, it’s just going to make it a lot more challenging, but I’ll figure it out,” he says.
