Artist Brian Coldrick ’s serial Behind You is an ongoing look at the very uncouth fearfulness that someone is lurk just out of your force field of visual modality — perhaps prepping to do something not very nice . Equal part funny , whimsical , and absolutely terrifying , the drawings make for excellent pre - Halloween browse .

The whole thing sprung out of my love of repugnance films and Good Book , and particularly the reading of spooky internet stories . My favourite case of spooky net story is the real life account . These hardly serve as tale as much as scary scenarios . There are so many gaps in the story there ’s slews of room for the lector to take them in with their own conclusions . This series is basically my attempt to purposefully do the same .
Each page is just a eccentric with someone , or something , behind them and one line of text edition . While some of them touch on well careworn horror trope , none are direct adjustment of exist account ; I infer fairytales and myth , sometime and new , are fair plot . Hopefully there is some amusing weirdness and genuine creepiness in the mix .
